President Gordon B. Hinckley said:

"Today many sisters are being called to serve. Many more are preparing to serve. Not because they aren't married or don't have anything else to do, but they have the desire to serve. One reason that the Lord wants more sisters to serve is because within the next generation He will send His priesthood army to the earth. He wants to send choice spirit children to mothers who have been prepared, properly trained, and taught in the gospel. What better schooling can a mother have than to experience and grow as she serves a mission." --Pres. Gordon B. Hinckley

Friendship

It's days like the past week that truly make me thankful for friends. As I was in Idaho, I made some of the best friends that I've ever had. We had our late nights and funny moments that kept us laughing and on our toes. We experienced so much together-the good and the bad. As semester ended, tears of sadness overcame us as we knew the time of separation was coming. Headed back to Vegas, I reflected on what my time would be like at home. Who would me friends be? Who would I hang out with constantly. But, I have no idea why I was stressing. There have been so many people here with outstretched arms welcoming me back. I have done so many things with new people that I never would've expected becoming friends with. I love this and everyday I'm thankful for the friendships-past and future that I've made and will make.
